The history of the Glashütte Original brand reaches back to 1845, when Adolf Lange founded the first factory in Glashütte to make prime quality watches. Following his vision, he dreamt of establishing an independent watchmaking industry in Saxony, he obtained funding from the Saxon court and invited other master watchmakers – Julius Assmann, Ludwig Strasser, Gustav Rhode and Adolf Schneider – to cooperate. Precision work and top-notch products made them famed very soon. Glashütte became the Mecca of the watchmaking industry not only in Germany but also in Europe.

Currently, annual production of Glashütte Original is 6,000 – 8,000 watches only. Therefore, the demand exceeds the supply many times. All the models are assembled and decorated by hand. Every piece is a true original.

PanoMaticChrono
limited edition of platinum 200 pcs , a unique dial, panoramic date, fly-back function and a unique automatic clockwork with stepped wheelwork able to adjust itself even to the slightest movements of the hand and thus to transfer the energy required for the watch work. This watch is exceptional as evidenced by the fact that in 2005, readers of “Armbanduhren“ , the renowned magazine, elected it an absolute winner of the year from about 107 models of watches of the best-known brands. In 2004, the model won the prize Chronograph of the Year in American magazine “International Watch “.
PanoRetroGraph
Is the first mechanical chronograph in the world able to measure the time forward and backwards. This exceptional watch contains a function of mechanical acoustic signal that gives three sounds when having completed reading. The fly-back mechanism enables reinitialising the stopwatch without setting it to zero first. The manual winding-up clockwork, thirty-minute counter, panoramic date and 42-hour spring reserve. Through the transparent lower lid, the owner may admire the “heart” of this remarkable watchmaker’s masterpiece made of 461 parts. A skilful watchmaker would need almost two months just to put such a clockwork together (without previously making all the required parts). The clockwork is handmade, thus every piece is a true original. Limited edition – 50 pieces platinum , 150 pieces white gold. In 2001, “Armbanduhren” was elected the watch of the year in the readers’ survey.

an exclusive white gold case with precious black cut diamonds (270 piece, 3.12 carats) and white cut diamonds on the dial (53 pieces, 0.21 carats) and black cut diamonds on the dial (161 pieces , 0.7 carats), automatic clockwork hand-decorated with gold, panoramic date and the spring reserve make the model a truly unique masterpiece very difficult to compete with.
