Superior quality, handwork, small run production, exceptional watch making patents and - naturally - prestige. These might be brief characteristics of one of the best companies in the field, since 2005 solely represented by Hodinářství Bechyně on the Czech market.

The history of the Glashütte Original brand reaches back to 1845, when Adolf Lange founded the first factory in Glashütte to make prime quality watches. Following his vision, he dreamt of establishing an independent watchmaking industry in Saxony, he obtained funding from the Saxon court and invited other master watchmakers – Julius Assmann, Ludwig Strasser, Gustav Rhode and Adolf Schneider – to cooperate. Precision work and top-notch products made them famed very soon. Glashütte became the Mecca of the watchmaking industry not only in Germany but also in Europe.

Currently, annual production of Glashütte Original is 10,000 watches only. Therefore, the demand exceeds the supply many times. All the models are assembled and decorated by hand. Every piece is a true original.
